BIRD & HEN FORMS
Each bird evolves organically from the tall, almost cylindrical shape first thrown on the wheel.  Once that form is closed in and altered then beak, eyes, crest and tail added, the clay transforms into a birdlike character.  I carefully select colours and decorate each piece aiming to accentuate the playful personality of each individual bird.

DOVES
My doves are formed by pouring liquid clay into a mould, and then given their characters by the addition of beaks and feet and painted decoration.
