EARTHWORKS

Earthworks is a unique co-operative ceramic studio and gallery established by myself and two other potters, Karen Morgan and Oonagh Anderson. Early in 2007 we found the perfect location for Earthworks in a seventeenth century grain mill and spent several months renovating the space into a fully functioning workshop with a spectacular gallery space. We officially opened with a successful exhibition during the Kilkenny Arts Festival in August 2007.  We welcome you to come and enjoy the beautiful setting and browse through the gallery while we make our work in the adjoining studio. We exhibit and sell our work in our gallery, where we also invite visiting artists to exhibit and deliver public lectures.

THOMASTOWN

Earthworks is idyllically situated on the banks of the river Nore in Thomastown - a picturesque village that has a lot to offer locals and visitors alike.  There are many restaurants and cafes, other galleries and craft shops, and plenty of good pubs with food and music.  The river Nore offers lots of leisure options – you can enjoy a walk by the river, fishing, and lifeguarded facilities for swimming during the summer. There are many other places of interest in the vicinity - Jerpoint Abbey is just a mile down the road, Woodstock gardens is in Inistioge village or you can see master glassmakers at nearby Jerpoint Glass studios. Earthworks Gallery is located in the village on the main Dublin to Waterford road.
