Most of my work is thrown on the wheel and can be either functional or decorative or both. The forms I make are simple with most of the emphasis placed on the unique tactile and visual qualities of the surface of my pots. Different decorative results are realized by manipulating three key elements: the application of a dark slip to the pot before bisque-firing, the glaze used, and the temperature to which the pot is glaze-fired.
